Author Biography

PATRICIA MACLACHLAN is the author of many beloved novels for young readers, including Arthur, for the Very First Time, winner of the Golden Kite Award for fiction; The Facts and Ficton of Minna Pratt; and Sarah, Plain and Tall, winner of the Newbery Medal, as well as its sequel, Skylark, and Grandfather's Dance. She is also the author of several picture books, including Three Names, What You Know First, All the Places to Love, Bittle, Who Loves Me, and Once I Ate Pie.
